Swantham Tharavadu’s story began with a deep passion for Kerala’s traditional culinary heritage. In 1996, Siyad and his brothers started their journey guided by flavour with a “thattukada” in a five-star dabba style called Street Menu at Padma Junction, Kochi, where every meal was prepared with attention to flavour and consistency that kept people coming back. Those early days instilled in them a belief that great food comes from heart, tradition and consistency. As his understanding of Kerala’s diverse flavours deepened, Siyad felt inspired to bring together traditional Kerala cooking and the coastal flavours he grew up with. Guided by this vision and with a special emphasis on seafood, he founded a destination for bringing Kerala’s traditional and coastal flavours together, named Swantham Tharavadu. Here, each dish served with the warmth of home, classic tastes and Kerala’s culture.
